The Science of Sizing We calculate the required Flow Coefficient (Cv) using standard ISA equations to ensure your valve operates in the “Sweet Spot” (typically 20%–80% open):

Cv=QSG/ΔPCv = Q √ ‬‎SG/‬‎ΔP

Where Q is flow rate (GPM), SG is specific gravity, and (‬‎ΔP) is pressure drop (P₁ – P₂).
Why this matters: Incorrect sizing leads to Cavitation (where P < Pvapor and bubbles implode) or Choked Flow. We provide a full Valve Signature Report to predict and prevent these failures before installation.
